South Dakota Lien Statement

South Dakota contractors, give notice of your intent to file a lien claim against a property for unpaid invoices with this Lien Statement form, to be filed in the County Register.

The form sets out the details of the property owner, the work done and/or materials and equipment supplied for improvements to the property, and the amount still owed to the contractor. The form also includes relevant sections of Section 44-9 of the South Dakota Codified Laws setting out how to file and serve a lien claim.
