Canada Mutual Grant of Life Estate in Property
Use this template to prepare a Mutual Grant of Life Estate in Property in a residence located in Canada, and owned by two spouses or life partners as tenants in common.
A life estate is one whose duration is limited to the life of the party holding it, and the property does not become part of their estate upon their death. Provisions include:

- events of termination,
- equal contribution to mortgage payments,
- maintenance costs and expenses,
- mutual indemnification (each party indemnifies the other against claims and damages),
- transfer of the property to the survivor upon the death of one of the parties.
