Ontario Form 1 Notice to Contractor
Do you own property in Ontario jointly with someone who has hired a contractor to do work on the property?
Protect yourself from lien claims by serving the contractor with this Ontario Notice to Contractor Form 1 under Section 18 of the provincial Construction Lien Act.- This Notice would be used in a situation where the contractor has signed a contract with the other joint owner(s) or owner(s) in common.
- The Notice informs the contractor that the owner signing the Notice assumes no responsibility for the improvements.
- The form includes a copy of section 18 of the Construction Lien Act, for your reference.
