Georgia Notice of Commencement
Georgia property owners, if you are having improvements done to your property, give notice to all interested parties by serving them with a Notice of Commencement, in accordance with Code Section 44-14-361.5.
The Notice of Commencement sets out the first day that construction, improvements or renovations on the property are to begin, and gives relevant information about the contractor, the surety, the owner and the work to be performed. It includes a copy of the relevant section of the State Code as to how the form must be filed and served.
