Quebec Notice of Rent Deposit
Quebec tenants, if your landlord is not fulfilling its obligations under the lease, you can pay your rent to the Regié du logement instead of to the landlord.
In order to do so, you must serve your landlord with this Notice of Rent Deposit, in accordance with article 1907 of the Civil Code of Quebec. The Notice informs the landlord that, due to the landlord's failure to fulfill its obligations, the tenant is depositing the rent with the Regié du logement.This Quebec Notice of Rent Deposit form is an English-language form provided by the Regié du logement.
