Quebec Notice to Assign the Lease
Quebec tenants, do you want to assign your lease to a third party?
You must first serve your landlord with this Notice to Assign the Lease, in accordance with article 1870 of the Civil Code of Quebec. The Notice states that you (the tenant) intend to assign the lease to another person. If the landlord refuses the assignment, he/she must inform you of the reason within 15 days.
