Montana Notice of Abandonment of Personal Property
Montana landlords, has a tenant has left behind some of their personal property after vacating the premises? Before you can dispose of the items, you must first serve the tenant with this Notice of Tenant of Abandonment of Personal Property, in accordance with the Landlord and Tenant Act.
- The tenant is notified that the landlord believes the personal property left at the premises is abandoned, and has removed and stored it for safekeeping.
- The tenant has 15 days to remove the property or the landlord will sell and ⁄ or dispose of it.
- A Service of Notice form is included, to record the details of how the Notice was served on the tenant.
